About

Our mission is to establish a dynamic, inclusive, accessible platform to all cinephiles and writers, dedicated to the celebration and exploration of cult and indie cinema. Collecting work from those who want to share their love – or their critical eyes – to cult classics, obscurities and generally underseen films in the form of reviews, essays, articles and interviews. Through thoughtful discourse and a shared love for the art of film in a diverse community, we strive to safeguard these unique cinematic works for future generations while our readers expand their cinematic horizons and discover new favorites in the process.

Providing a platform

We care about making film discussion approachable and accessible for everyone, making sure that every reader and contributor feels welcomed and inspired.

Get Involved

We want to help people get involved off-screen, too. Many communities have their own film clubs, festivals, community run or independent cinemas, or other events. If you are involved in one of these or are an attendee, write about your experiences or talk to the organisers!

Expanding support

Writers who have new related books in print and creatives with related projects, write about it! We want to support you, too. In addition, marvellous indie restoration and distribution companies bring us restorations and physical releases of classics and forgotten gems each month. We want to direct people to support them by platforming pieces about these films.

"I initially struggled with motivation to write about film, fearing my work would remain confined to personal blogs and questioning whether a publication would value niche content from a young, inexperienced writer. It was challenging to find welcoming platforms for film discussion, criticism, journalism, and academia that did not feel exclusive and intimidating. By creating CFP, I hope to provide the space for everyone—especially young people—to explore their ideas and engage within a vibrant community with the shared mission of protecting cult film."

- Isabelle Cocozza, Founder
